Open Question: I have a few questions about using a cell phone in Europe? 10 points!?
I am going to Spain in April for 12 days. I know it would be much easier to use the pre-paid phone cards, but I want a cell phone so people at home can reach me and because I will be going with a group which means I will have limited time if I used those phones.
So I currently have a Verizon phone. I’ve heard if you use Verizon it is more expensive than others and you need to get a whole new phone. I am okay with getting a new phone for the trip, but I want to find the cheapest option.
-So, if I am on Verizon now, could I go to a different provider and just have like a month plan? How would I do this? Which provider do you recommend?
-Does it cost a lot of money to send texts? (which is what i really want to do)
-Does it cost a lot of money for the person in the U.S. who is receiving calls or sending/receiving texts?
