Resolved Question: What do I do about autodialers calling my new number for its old owner?
I got a new land line from AT&T about four months ago, and I constantly get calls for Dan and Cindy Whatever. The worst thing is it’s all autodialers. Relentless computers from collection agencies, credit cards, time shares, “special offers.” There seems to be no way to stop them. I did the common sense thing for about 2 months and said, “I’m sorry. This is a new number. You can’t reach that person here anymore.” A lot of times the guy on the other end would pursue this sale in spite of the fact that he was calling entirely the wrong person. Regardless, they just keep calling. I stopped being polite about a month ago, but still told people it was the wrong number. I got on the government “do not call” list, but I can’t see that it has done anything. I mostly just hang up or don’t answer now. I have had to unplug my phone line and go back to using my cell. I don’t see what I can do since they don’t respond to me telling them they have the wrong number. The government “do not call” list doesn’t stop them from calling Cindy and Dan because it only stops unsolicited calls. Clearly Cindy and Dan did solicit these calls. They just dumped the phone number on the next unfortunate bastard, me. I don’t want to talk to every person who calls me and threaten each and every one of them with legal pursuit if they don’t honor the do not call list. It’s just too much. I am not going to pay an additional $10/month to get call ID and call block. This was supposed to be a cheap way to phase out my cell phone. The only thing I can thing to do is call BellSouth and ask to have my number changed or just quit the service. I don’t want to quit though because there is a hefty hefty activation fee for a land line now that would be wasted. Is there anything I can do about this? Has this happened to anyone before?

Voting Question: Pregnant, and in a bad situation.?
This is really not a question more of a statement. A week ago I posted so questions , about being pregnant, abortion, and the father not wanting his child. Now today after praying and asking God to show me what to do I somewhat get my answer. The father of my child who doesnt ,this child I am carrying , requested that I have abortion. After I pleeded with him to just talk about keeping the baby, he response with a firm NO. I have cry over this matter been depressed , lost crazy weight worrying. I would of never imagine in a millions yrs that I could get caught up is a mess like this. Well I had a last and final conversation with him and that I would only have the abortion under my terms. I was only going thorught with it if I picked the doctor and the method used. I told that I had find a place that was 1 1/2 away and it would be more expenses because of the sediation they use. He was pissed because the was $600 and he only had two weeks to come up with the money. I refuse to even pay half . So later he asked why couldnt you just take the “pill”, cause all you had to is was sit on the toliet and that it.( Oh please I am not doing that) So i told him it’s either my way or no way. I stated that you do whatever you have have to get the money, that’s means selling whatever to get it. I was really making it impossible for him to get the money , cause I could. I said how about you just paid this money and then me and your lil problem will be out of your way. He said if i wanted you gone I would just put you in body bag. Well this is the really funny part, He called me today from JAIL. Jail ladies and gentlemen, yes jail hehe . I know that’s not funny but i think it is now that i think about it. Ok so i been having strange people calling saying ,he wants me to tell you he’s in jail, so I was like ok so. Then another says here’s a number to a bailbonds man he wanted me to give you. So i had a friend call the dentention ctr, and they said he was in for possession of weed and deliever with the intent to sale. (awww poor him) Well they also said is bond was $5,000 and i gotta put $750 with a bailbond men to get him out ( i am not your mommy). So I got dress and went to his mother’s house. (who i never met before) We talk and she told me thar she that she loved her son dearly and would do anything he wanted. We then talk some and I found that everything we told was a lie. I then told his mom I was pregnant and he wanted me to have an abortion. I said dont worry youll never have to hear anything from me cause I am getting as far away as I can. I left her house with a sigh of relief that my desicion was for the best, to get me unconnected to this crazy man ( or should we say lil moma’s boy). Anyways when i got home the phone calls continued for random people. I just irgoned them and got ready for work. At work i gave this matter no more thought and just planned for my future ( well just really what i was going to eat lol). I recieved a call and i went to answer the phone and the number was his personal cell phone.( omg this dude is off of jail). I put down the phone and told a coworker to say i was busy. i am really nervous, because i told his mother that I want NOTHING to do with him. I mean didnt she give him the message. I worry cause he has already told we he would put me in a body bag or do me like ray caruso did his girlfriend. I mean he was just joking about that but still. I mean one of his earlier charges was for telling his ex-girlfriend if you break up with me I will kill you at the age of 14. So who knows how he thinks at the age of 21. I want to have this abortion more than ever call me whatever you want but my life is very important, and without me there no kids.
you all must think i am heartless but i am not. in the the beginning he was the prefect guy flowers and foods all the time. This crap just came about in one week. This is truly a whole aonther side of him. This abortion is for the best i cant take care of this child by myself i need help, and he defly cant do it.So i am doing what is best.
