Open Question: wondering if there was a limit to the number of cancellations for a cell phone contract?

Is this a good compare and contrast essay for the similaritiesand differences between growing up in the 1930s and the 21st century?

While growing up in the 1930s and growing up in the 21st century share many similarities, they also share many differences. Similarities between the two might include how children still like to play the same games that they did in the 1930s continuing to the 21st century. Some games may include hid and seek or checkers. In the 1930s kids liked to play checkers with other kids or their parents. Another game the kids in the 1930s might have played is cards of a type of game that you play with cards such as go fish. In the 21st century many kids still enjoy games that kids played in the 1930s such as hide and go seek outside or inside of their house. Another game that kids in the21st century still admire is scrabble. The kids would play the game with their peers or parents. Although many games are still common in the 21st century from the 1930s, there are many other differences between the two times such as the use of technology.

The use of technology is changing at a rapid paste from people thinking every day of how to make the human life easier such as more efficient telephone and video games, which have caused kids growing up at these two times to have an ample effect on them as they grow older. The Telephones in the 1930s was a fairly large console in a building of house with a rotating dial to call people. When people entered to use the telephone to call someone they would have to go to the nearest phone. Kids would be more outside in the 1930s because of the less distractions of the Cell phone for texting or playing games. Video games were not present in the 1930s which also had an effect in kids because they would not be distracted by the pleasure of playing and spend more time outdoors. In the 21st Century however, some kids may have entered a “second life” which is where the kid is on his or her computer all day which can be lead to the addiction of the computer or cell phone. Kids in the 21st century spend much more times indoors then they did in the 21st century because of the distraction.

In the 21st century food sizes have changed dramatically. For example, a large fast food burger in the 1930s is smaller than a small fast food burger today. Kids in the 21st century and kids in the1930s growing up with food sizes could change their health status and eating habits for the rest of their life. In the e1930s the fast food of just regular food was mostly from natural foods from the earth. They were a lot healthy stuff kids who ; grew up in the 1930s probably did not eat as much as the kids growing up in the 21st century so those kids who grew up in the 1930s were much less fat than the kids in the 21st Century. In the 21st century food became unhealthier for fast food because it was prossed food some of it of part of the meal has manmade chemicals in it. It was very unhealthy for you. Also when those kids grew up they would have bad eating habits or they would eat too much because of the large advertising for fast food and the large amounts that fast food companies were selling to their buyers.

In conclusion growing up as a kid in the 1930s and growing up as a kid in the21st century share many similarities and differences between the two times. Similarities include Games such as hide and seek and some differences include the use of technology such as cell phones and video games, and the differences in food sizes. Growing up in the 1930s and growing up in the 21st century have many similarities with things like games, but when it comes to getting enough exercise, the 21st century destroys that.

I have a couple comics(dozens) and I want to sell them. How do I determine how much they are worth for collectors? DSI: She got a DS 2 years ago. She is out of that phase. She said it has a camera, I told her she has a camera and she can borrow her Dads flip camera or camcorder anytime. I told her she has a DS, too.

Scooter: She has a bike, but she would also like a scooter. I found one that is $100 and it is fancy. It use to be $250.00. It is not electric, just the normal one.

Cell Phone: She wants a Cell Phone. She wants a IPhone or an LG. I told her no to the IPhone, because it is a run for money and she has a ITouch, which is pretty similar. I told her maybe to the LG. I can trust her with it, because she uses a “training phone”, she has since June and you can text and do anything, for free. After checking the “Bill” It is not that much for an LG. $35.00 a month,if it were an LG, it is free. She is tired of that phone because it is kind of retarded, you know?

Laptop: She wants a laptop. She has had permission on the computer since age 3, and I monitor everything. I told her not what to do, and the laptop I maybe buying would text my phone telling me what website she visited and how many times she did, weekly. That laptop lasts and it deletes things that are not good. She wants a FaceBook because she claims all of her friends have one, but I told her maybe. She also wants a Twitter and I said that may be yes. She said she wants a MySpace and I said, no. I trust her and she has two emails. One for important stuff and one for entertainment stuff.

Converse: She has like plenty pairs of converse, uggs and crocs and now she is asking for another pair of shoes. She wants brown converse, I said no because the pair is $75 and she has brownish blackish converse. I said NO, again, because she still fits fine in ALL of her shoes. I dont know if I should or not. It is her birthday.

i filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy and my creditors meeting is in 3 weeks I’m a little nervous but I have told the whole truth so it’s more just the speaking in front of everyone. I’ve always been really shy but anyway my question is this I want to change my car insurance provider and phone provider (found both much cheaper) should I wait until after the meeting or can I go ahead and change them now without any issues? do I tell them I changed them or does it matter? I have been reading a lot of negative things from people about people claiming bankruptcy I just wanted to say you don’t know every ones situation how can you be angry at them for claiming bankruptcy. I use to live with someone for 10 years and I had a great job our household income was 80,000 plus a year. after we broke up my whole plant was laid off and now I make 25,000 a year. a huge dif. I don’t have cable, home phone, or internet (I use my computer at work for internet access) I have an old car that brakes every couple months and can barely afford to feed my family. I have a pay as you go cell phone just in case I can’t afford the payment one month.so don’t judge people on the little they tell you on the internet some people NEED to claim bankruptcy and a lot of you guys are just plain rude talking about us like we are dirty or something. I would love to pay my bills if that was even an option.I’m sure most people feel the same.

Open Question: Pregnant, and in a bad situation.?
This is really not a question more of a statement. A week ago I posted so questions , about being pregnant, abortion, and the father not wanting his child. Now today after praying and asking God to show me what to do I somewhat get my answer. The father of my child who doesnt ,this child I am carrying , requested that I have abortion. After I pleeded with him to just talk about keeping the baby, he response with a firm NO. I have cry over this matter been depressed , lost crazy weight worrying. I would of never imagine in a millions yrs that I could get caught up is a mess like this. Well I had a last and final conversation with him and that I would only have the abortion under my terms. I was only going thorught with it if I picked the doctor and the method used. I told that I had find a place that was 1 1/2 away and it would be more expenses because of the sediation they use. He was pissed because the was $600 and he only had two weeks to come up with the money. I refuse to even pay half . So later he asked why couldnt you just take the “pill”, cause all you had to is was sit on the toliet and that it.( Oh please I am not doing that) So i told him it’s either my way or no way. I stated that you do whatever you have have to get the money, that’s means selling whatever to get it. I was really making it impossible for him to get the money , cause I could. I said how about you just paid this money and then me and your lil problem will be out of your way. He said if i wanted you gone I would just put you in body bag. Well this is the really funny part, He called me today from JAIL. Jail ladies and gentlemen, yes jail hehe . I know that’s not funny but i think it is now that i think about it. Ok so i been having strange people calling saying ,he wants me to tell you he’s in jail, so I was like ok so. Then another says here’s a number to a bailbonds man he wanted me to give you. So i had a friend call the dentention ctr, and they said he was in for possession of weed and deliever with the intent to sale. (awww poor him) Well they also said is bond was $5,000 and i gotta put $750 with a bailbond men to get him out ( i am not your mommy). So I got dress and went to his mother’s house. (who i never met before) We talk and she told me thar she that she loved her son dearly and would do anything he wanted. We then talk some and I found that everything we told was a lie. I then told his mom I was pregnant and he wanted me to have an abortion. I said dont worry youll never have to hear anything from me cause I am getting as far away as I can. I left her house with a sigh of relief that my desicion was for the best, to get me unconnected to this crazy man ( or should we say lil moma’s boy). Anyways when i got home the phone calls continued for random people. I just irgoned them and got ready for work. At work i gave this matter no more thought and just planned for my future ( well just really what i was going to eat lol). I recieved a call and i went to answer the phone and the number was his personal cell phone.( omg this dude is off of jail). I put down the phone and told a coworker to say i was busy. i am really nervous, because i told his mother that I want NOTHING to do with him. I mean didnt she give him the message. I worry cause he has already told we he would put me in a body bag or do me like ray caruso did his girlfriend. I mean he was just joking about that but still. I mean one of his earlier charges was for telling his ex-girlfriend if you break up with me I will kill you at the age of 14. So who knows how he thinks at the age of 21. I want to have this abortion more than ever call me whatever you want but my life is very important, and without me there no kids.

This is truly a whole aonther side of him. This abortion is for the best i cant take care of this child by myself i need help, and he defly cant do it.So i am doing what is best.

i am 18 and an independent homeschool highschool student. me and my fiance live together i moved out when his dad and sister got sick and he needed to go back home. my mom got it set up where i would get my child support. But that is from my father not her. i think that was her way of keeping control of me. her case worker told her that i could have it but it would have to come in her name but the records would show i have it. she fights with me all the time cause she wants to control everything. She calls like 4 times a day and insists that i talk to her for around a half hour as many times as she was to call since she pays the bill i listen. but she will not just stop trying to control everything we got into a fight over fod stamps and medical. in tn they can not redo your insurance once you have it for 1 year but you have to redo food stamps every 6 months. i get 35$ a month so when it stops in april i really dont especially when it takes up to 90 days to process and could mess up my chances to get it in ohio. she is always borrowing money from me i live with my fiances grandmother but she keeps insisting that she is supporting me.

ok so in may we moved to wisconsin 2 months early caause my mom got mad at my fiances family who were also our landlords with no where to go well i had somewhere to go but my mom and my three siblings didnt. my fiance went with us cause i was 17 and my mom had origanilly said i could live with his aunt and she would give her HALF of my child support but since she got mad she took it back. he decided to come with us then.

we found a house and we were paying for food even though she got 500 in food stamps. we were paying for gas. we were helping with bills and paying for all the laundry wich was 150 a month. we were getting most of my siblings wants a needs. she was spending all her money on going out to eat and buying cloths and stuff. we had made a plan to save 200 a week every week starting in january toward a wedding and rent when we went to ohio for college. he lost his job cause the company went under i lost mine cause my mom got mad and threatend to to leave and i wasnt going to get stranded 35 ons from home and my siblings taken away so i stayed home. then my fiances family started getting sicke. we got down here TN and in 2 weeks we both had jobs. and most of our money has gone to food savings and christmas.

we just bought a car we have to go to ohio for testing at the end of the month and i have the money for that. i have already bought my wedding dress shoes and brides maids dresses and still have oney left over and 5 months. we have 4 hundred for rent so fare. we will have 2400 by the time we move that will pay for 4 months security and food for a while. we want to wait till after school starts to get jobs so we know what we can handel it will be about 6 weeks after we get there. rent is only 400 and includes all utilites

my mom asked me again today what were planing on doing hwen hwe get there i told her and she said thats nothing it wont work. i got mad cause i had told her this plan plenty of times and all but this time she said that was a good plan. to day she says it wont work. i was tired of repeating my self and upest casue in my opion if you tell somoen what they are doing isnt going to work its just like saying its stupid cause if you do somthing you know isnt going to work thats stupid. she says no its not and that i am immature that i am going to hate it when she stops supporting me and i have to lean on my fiances family i dont know what being an adult really is.

now the woman is always calling i need gas oh now i need money to take the kids to mcdonalds casue we are out and they are hungrey. oh can you have your boyfriend call this guy for me i need to know if he has a snow blower still for sale. oh i cant pay for my school can i barrow some money. i cant finsihs the rent. on top of that she cant understand how anything works or why we cant afford to come see her. she has 5 cell ohones and only uses 2 so she has to pya 200 -350 a month in in cell ohone bills why cause she got one for my siblings that she never gave them one she wanted to give to her ex who wastalkoing about getting back to gether with her and then started seeing someoneelse and lied to her aobut it at wich point she stated stalking them and making up people on myspace but thats off subjuct and one taht she jsut didnt want to pay for the phone.

she tells me today i need to learn how to grow up and that i dont know what being an adult is that the world is going to cave in onme and i am going to hate it when she isnt there to save me.

And a few people get rich selling all those gadgets that you don’t need.

Problem: TVs aren’t thin enough. Solution make them thin. Rather than pay by the inch, you are paying by the LACK of inches. 3000 dollars for a TV is better than 200 dollars, right? You can now use that extra 6 inches of dusty shelf space to set your bottle of beer on. Reward? More money for a few people who have a fetish for plasma.

Problem: DVDs were too Cheap. Solution: BluRay. Reward? More money for a few people.

I have service from Verizon Wireless (Motorola w385)… I didn’t get the phone directly from them I got it from some store that sells cell phones from major cell phone companies but it doesn’t run on the cell phones network.. I am going to Spain in April for 12 days. I know it would be much easier to use the pre-paid phone cards, but I want a cell phone so people at home can reach me and because I will be going with a group which means I will have limited time if I used those phones.

This is long sorry.
I am looking to move and had been checking on Craigslist for a few days and came across a beautiful 3 bedroom home for $800 monthly, which is in my price range. I responded to the ad through email and received a reply this morning around 5am. This is the reply exactly as I read it:

Thanks for the email and it is my gladness hearing from you. I am the owner of the house you are making inquiry of… Actually i resided in the house with my family, such as my wife and my only daughter before and presently we had packed due to my transfer from my working place and now situated in the( West Africa) My real intention was to sale the house, so l listed the property with realtor agent but my wife advice me not to do that, and l have asked the agent to remove the sign board in front of the house, l got a call from him that he has move down to UK. So l ask him to send back the keys/paperworks of my house to me in my present location., I decided to put it on rent and also put it in craigslist for rent for a year leasing and presently my house is still available for rent.Including the utilities like hydro, washer and security, it is furnished but if u which to move in with your furnishes no problem.

Pls i want you to note that i am a kind and honest man and also i spent a lot on my property that i want to give you for rent, i will want you to take absolute maintenance of my house and want you to treat it as your own, money is not the most important thing but i want you to keep it tidy all the time so that i will be glad to see it neat when i
come for a check up.

Open Question: Iphone 3G vs Blackberry Curve 8520?
I used to have a Blackberry Flip and I loved Blackberry’s but it broke. So I was saving up to buy a Blackberry Curve 8520, which I fell in love with, but then I found an Iphone 3G on the floor that works perfectly (except for a broken vibrate button). I put an ad on craigslist to sell the iphone and in the meanwhile I used it as my daily cellphone and started liking it. Now I don’t know what to do. I’m a young college student that likes sleek, sexy cell phones that are good for texting. I don’t really care much about the internet, though I do like wifi (and both phones have it). The battery on the Iphone dies to fast, though I love the GPS on it (which I think the blackberry also has). The BB is significantly smaller with awkward keys and I am not a big fan of touch phones. I don’t know if I should trade this Iphone or not.

What do you think is the better phone and why?
